In this guide we will demostrate how to integrate the segments of Rfmcube with the Mailup email marketing platform.
This integration will allow you to activate marketing automation campaigns in total autonomy on the selected targets without having to worry about the technical aspect.
Generate the API key
The first thing when integrating Mailup with Rfmcube is to find 2 simple pieces of information: Client ID and Client Secret.
From your dashboard go on Mailup, follow the following path: Settings >> Advanced >> Developer corner >> New Key.
Assign the key to the name you want, then copy the Client ID and Client Secret fields to the clipboard.
At this point, log in to your Rfmcube account and go to Integrations >> Mailup. Paste the Client ID and Client Secret values previously generated and click on the Authorize button.
Create the field mapping
Then if the entered values are correct, you will see a drop down where you will have to select the main list of your Mailup to integrate with Rfmcube.
In case you decide to import new customers not yet present in your Mailup, you can decide to assign them the subscription status, which can be Subscribed, Pending or Unsubscribed.
You can now start mapping the Rfmcube fields that you will need for email marketing.
Each field you select will generate an additional column visible in the Mailup database, and you can use those values to segment your customers as you wish.
If the fields of Rfmcube do not correspond to a specific field on Mailup, you can create it automatically by clicking on the New contact attribute button.
Also, you will need to specify the field type (text, number or date) and choose a field name, and then click on Save.
If you go back to Mailup now, you will see the newly created fields appear.
Assign each segment to a Group
Congratulations! Now your Mailup is perfectly integrated with Rfmcube.
To have the job done, move to the Segments Overview item, select an Rfmcube segment you want to bring to Mailup and click on the button located on the right under the Mailup item.
You will see a popup open: select in it the group you want to assign to the users in the segment by choosing it from the drop-down menu, or create a new Group.
We recommend that you give the Group the same name as the corresponding list on Rfmcube has, so you can easily find it on Mailup.
Click on Synchronize Now, and then on Save.
The integration is now complete! You will be able to continue synchronizing your marketing segments and have the contacts updating happening in the background. At the same time you will not have to worry about a thing anymore to finally focus on creating high-performing marketing campaigns!
